In the Center historic of Socorro there are numerous colonial houses of invaluable meaning:
- The House where lived the Captain Juan Francisco Berbeo during the commoners revolution, subsequently was headquarters of the North Bank (1880) in where the legal currency was issued.
- The House where it was ran one the most ancient hospitals in Colombia. Subsequently it was house of the Spanish government.
- The birthplace of the Magistral Canon Rosillo. A man who thought and participated in the independence of Socorro.
- The home of the Masonic Lodge, meeting place of the most important men in Santander.
